Run For Charity
Over the past decade, Loco Races events like The Jingle Bell Half Marathon & 5k have contributed over $1 million to support local organizations in the northeastern U.S. Here are just a few of the causes we’ve helped through the years:
Hampton Area Rotary, Winnacunnet High Track & XC, WHS ChemFree, Bishop Brady Habitat for Humanity, Newmarket Main Street, Pentucket Athletic Association, U-32 High XC, Dover High Track & XC, and Granite State Track & Field.
Want to help us give back to our community? Create a fundraising page for your run benefiting the charity of your choice or our current charity partner, Girls On The Run NH, when you register for the race online.
How To Get Started
If you’ve never fundraised before, here’s how it works: You’ll get a personal fundraising page on the online platform, GoFundMe.com, when you sign up for the race. You’ll send the link to that page to your friends and family to let them know you’re participating to raise money for the charity of your choice. People will donate money online directly to your page and you’ll be able to track your progress, add photo and video updates, and receive comments and messages from donors. You’ll also be able to see how much other runners have raised!
Step 1: Register for the race and check YES when asked if you’d like to set up a GoFundMe fundraising page. You’ll get a link to your page on the order confirmation screen.
*Note: If you’ve already bought your ticket, you can set up a GoFundMe page here.
Step 2: Follow the link to your GoFundMe page to complete the setup by adding photos and a description about why you’re raising money by participating in the race.
Step 3: Encourage people to donate to your page by sharing your GoFundMe link and personal story via social media and email.
Step 4: Feel good about making a positive difference in the world!
